RackPilot accepts a limited number of sponsored posts and guest contributions each month from companies and writers relevant to our audience: solo founders and small teams running their own VPS and self-hosted infrastructure.

What we accept

• Sponsored/guest posts — an original article relevant to our topics (VPS hosting, self-hosting, server security, DevOps, infrastructure scaling), written to the same practical standard as our own content. Not a thinly-reworded product pitch.
• Contextual placements — a relevant mention or link added to an existing article where it genuinely fits the topic, rather than shoehorned in.
• Product mentions — a fair, clearly-labeled mention of a hosting provider, monitoring tool, or dev-tool product, where relevant to the guide it appears in.

What we don't accept

• Content in industries unrelated to our readers (VPS hosting, self-hosting, DevOps, and adjacent infrastructure topics only)
• Purely promotional copy with no practical, useful content for the reader
• Requests for undisclosed placement — see the disclosure policy below

Disclosure policy

Every sponsored post and paid placement is clearly labeled as such to readers, and paid links are marked with rel="sponsored" per search engine guidelines on paid link disclosure. This isn't optional on our end — it's how we stay in good standing with search engines and keep our readers' trust, both of which are worth more to this site long-term than any individual placement. If a link scheme requires undisclosed placement to be worth it to you, we're not a fit for each other.

Rates depend on the article's traffic, topical fit, and placement type. Email [email protected] with your product, the angle you're proposing, and any relevant traffic or domain metrics you'd like us to know about, and we'll reply with current availability and pricing.

Editorial standards

We retain final editorial control over any accepted contribution — we may request edits for accuracy, clarity, or tone, and we don't publish content that's misleading, factually wrong, or written primarily to game search rankings rather than help a reader.
